      If you are thinking about going bald. It is possibly as the male hormone causes hair follicles which the hairs grow out of to shrink

      Hair contains lots of cells that regularly grow and die so that healthy hair is maintained. Ageing is associated with a gradual slowing of cells function, so i would guess that rate of hair growth slows as we age due to this process so we gradually get thinner hair.
