• Question: i think i would like to be an archaeologist would i need to know a lot of science?

      I think that knowing some biology, chemistry and physics may help to analyse your specimens in the future 🙂

      I think geology would be useful as you would need to know about the soil you are digging through. Physics would be useful to scan potential sites so you know where to did. So yes, archaeology would need lots of science, also the way science is done is to look for evidence, exactly the same as archaeology

      Now that sounds like a cool job! Like Duane and Theresia say, I reckon there are a lot of aspects of science that could be integrated into the work an archaeologist. At the very least science will develop your critical thinking and ability to process the things that you see. I would look into the course requirements at university as these normally give you an indication into the course demands.
