• Question: why do we get hungry?

      It is a survival mechanism, if you consider that humans are designed to be lazy, the feeling of hunger will make you go and find food. If this didn’t happen we might starve.
      The mechanism is the rumbling in our stomachs, waves of muscles contracting and moving air to make noises and a complex messaging system between our stomach and our brain

      I think you could think of this also like the tiredness question. A way in which the body intrinsically can self-regulate something that it needs. Regular food is a natural requirement, so hunger is the way in which the body reminds you to eat
