• Question: why does your hair change colour as you get older

      I guess it is because the pigment making cells that make the colour become less active and die as people get older. Something that I am starting to notice myself!

      I believe that the change in hair colour with age is due to reduced production of the pigment in hair that give it it’s colour.

      Its to do with the mellanin that gives the hair its colour. As we grow older it slowly stops producing the colour and our hair turns grey or white.
