      there’s less skin regeneration and less collagen produced.. resulting in thin appearance.

      Also there is a reduction in the amount of elastic tissue and fat under the skin so thins

      Skin is just like every other cell/organ. As we age the cells are less able to regenerate and renew themselves. So skin loses a lot of the elasticity and function that it has in younger individuals.
