      Hiya,

Sometimes I need to work in the weekend… But our holiday schedule is very flexible so let’s say if you work very hard at the beginning of the year, then you can take one month of at the end of the year 🙂

Hi, I agree with Theresia there. We sometimes have to take work home with us if we have tight deadlines but then we usually tend to be able to get that time back in otherways. I sometimes find reading endless amounts of scientific journals a bit boring but it is a necessary part of the job to be able to learn more about certain elements of your research so that you can design the correct methods, or report your findings in an informed way.

Meetings are the worst part, especially those that you need to go to to be there but don’t have to say anything

I think like every job you have some things that you like less than others, its just important that the good outweigh the bad. I have lots of things to do to run my lab which take time, like emails, ordering, administration etc which are not glamorous and take a lot of effort. These are my least favourite things, but generally speaking i really love my job…
