• Question: could we catch maleria in this country [England]

      Yes it is still possible. I think the highest possibility is during summer because the mosquitoes thrive well in warmer climate. If you get bitten by a mosquito carry which carry Plasmodium, the protozoa which cause malaria, you may malaria. Not sure whether there has been any case?

      Also some universities breed these Mosquitos for research (but don’t let them escape) not sure anyone has caught Malaria recently

      I think it is very unlikely as i don’t think that the parasite that cause malaria are found in Europe. So even though we have mosquitoes they do not have the parasite to spread.

      It is very unlikely now but at the time of Shakespeare there have been cases!!!
