The type of exercise does not necessarily have to be running, it can swimming or cycling..

Wouldn’t say everyday as rest is important. Government recommendations suggest 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes

Daily activity is the key, but this can be achieved via so many different approaches. So running is really effective as are most sports. But it could be as simple as regularly taking the stairs compared to a lift/escalator. Walking to school rather than getting the bus. Riding a bike rather than driving a car. Even making sure you stand more throughout the day rather than sitting for long periods of time will improve your fitness.

To keep fit you have to be active regularly. This doesn;t have to be everyday but most days and the best way to achieve it is to take part in sports or other activities that you enjoy. If you don’t enjoy doing something you are less likely to do if often enough to keep fit.
