  Not for everyone, it needs to be carefully planned as the effect on the persons mind can be almost as big as it is on their bodies. The results of research suggest it can be very good at helping people to lose weight and improve control of diabetes. But it can have nasty side effects, including sudden drops in blood glucose (hypoglycaemia) which can cause people to faint.

Question: Do you think having surgery for being obese is a good idea?
