• Question: does your lungs help you to breathe ?

      Your lungs are the ‘air bags’ which the air moves in and out of so oxygen can be moved into your blood. The movement which brings the air in and out (the breathing bit) is powered by your rib muscles and diaphragm which change air pressure allowing the lungs to inflate and deflate.

      yes, they are the main organ in the body that allows to take oxygen from the air into the blood stream and then into the different organs. Every cell in the body needs oxygen to live and grow

      Lungs are designed in such an efficient way as they are jammed packed full of small ball shaped sacs called Alveoli. This means that a huge amount of oxygen can pass through the lungs into the bloodstream so that it can be transported to all tissues and organs in the body.
