      Nice question!

We do not know a huge amount about how nerves are regulated in skeletal muscle. There is not much information to suggest that nerves are specifically sensitive to diet. However, a high fat diet will effect the ability of muscle to function, which ultimately effects the nerve as the muscle is less active. Nerves love activity and movement and will decline in function during inactivity like you might see in paralysis or being bed-ridden for a long time. We think how the nerve and muscle interact is very important and probably is effected in a lot of diseases. The direct effect of diet on the nerve is not well studied though so a great question, maybe you can figure this out one day as a research scientist!
