• Question: how do you get chicken pox

      It is called by a virus called varicella zoster which can also cause shingles

      You may get it when you accidentally touch the pus of a person with chicken pox rashes, easily released through scratching. It does not help as the rashes are super itchy. Young children can’t help themselves scratching so this is why chicken pox spreads easily in nursery and kindergarten setting.

      Theresia’s answer pretty much says it all, basically itching the infected area and then passing it onto others.
