• Question: How long does it take for chewing gum to digest and why does it take so long?

      I think we probably would poo it out well before it is digested. It takes along time as the gum it is made of is not broken down by stomach acid or enzymes

      I don’t think it is digested, not a good thing to swallow

      It can’t be digested. This is why its bad to throw it on the ground as small animals and birds can eat it and due tho their small size it can clog up their intestines and they can die. Ours are big enough for it to pass through easily so it doesn’t affect us.
