It is a good source of carbohydrate. So, would be a good food for someone who uses or needs this type of energy. It is generally a good food, but for some people they can eat too much of it. It is also important not to eat it on its own and include vegetables and a source of protein (meat, cheese or alternative sources) to make a well balanced meal.
It is if you are Italian, or a footballer…..they tend to have a bowl of pasta before a game to provide them with a source of energy ready available…..as Duane mentioned, combined with vegetables or protein is good way to have a balanced meal….
Pasta is full of carbohydrate so will be a good source of energy. Its also relatively easy to prepare and combines with so many other foods to provide lots of variety so I think its a good all rounder! Again though, it should be part of a balanced diet as it won’t provide everything you need on its own.
