• Question: what is it that makes humans competitive.

      I think its a combination between their personality and how they have been brought up to be. Like a conditioned response to try your hardest and win all the time. Sports psychologists do a lot of research into things like this.

      I suppose we need to survive and the needs to survive make human competitive. This may be relevant to the era where we need to hunt to get food but I think sometimes it still takes place in the modern era. For instance, there are limited job offers whereas people need job, so we need to be competitive as we need to earn money to support ourselves.. Agree with Katie too, I think in the modern times this will depend on the upbringing of the person and the circumstance.

      There are also two types of competitive, those who work for themselves and other who work for a team as Katie & Theresia say it is part of our nature & instinct to survive
