Duane Mellor answered on 15 Nov 2014:

Hair loss is normally the effect of treatment especially chemotherapy drugs. The weight loss can also be an effect of treatment. It can also be something called cachexia which is when cancer is terminal. This is where the body starts to attack itself and this results in a loss of appetite and muscle wasting. Some of the people Andy and I work with at our 2 universities are investigating if exercise can help with this.
