• Question: Why are some people allergic to nuts? (like me)

      This is because the protein in the nuts is mistaken by your immune system, for a virus or bacteria rather than a nut. So, when it touches your skin it causes the inflammation and swelling associated with an allergy

      I don’t know what pre-determines someone to be allergic to nuts. I’m not sure if anyone knows for sure what makes one person allergic and the next not. Similarly, i don’t think there is a specific cure for nut allergy
