that’s our blueprint. That’s so that we can stand and walk and make directional movement. Otherwise we would be dragging our body like a snail..

Or do our bodies grow in the shape of our skeletons?

The skeleton provides the shape of our body and protects all the vital organs. So i would think more that all tissues/organs tend to grow in unison with the skeleton, rather than one leading the other.

It is the skeleton that gives us our outline shape. The rest of the shape is formed by our muscles that, along with our skeleton, are protecting our vital organs, and our subcutaneous fat which also acts as insulation for us to keep our basal body temperature regulated. Our body shapes are all so different depending upon how much muscle and fat mass we have and also how it is distributed around our body. We are all very unique creatures.
