• Question: Why do we need glasses ?

      That’s to help your eyeball such that the shadow of what you see falls exactly on your retina. If it falls in front of or at the back of your retina the image will be blurry!

      Probably as the muscles which squeeze the lens in the eye are not working enough or too much so the image created on the retina is out of focus

      The lenses in glasses correct a defect in how the eye processes what it sees so that you have clear vision.

      I need glasses to correct a stigmatism in one of my eyes. It means one of my eyes is slightly oval shaped and not round and therefore distorts what I see ever so slightly. The lens means that it changes the view of the image for me so I can see it clearer.
