That’s because there’s a mix between bile acid and our dead red blood cells…

I thought it was the bile acids which were made from breakdown products from red blood cells (bilirubin) could be wrong. If there is blood in poo it’s tends to be black?

Yes it is because of the pigment bilirubin which is produced during the breakdown of red blood cells….the shade of brown is different depending of what we eat….if you have lots of spinach or green veg….the colour changes and get dark brown!!!!
